So I started really wanting to do it January 2025.
Ryan SpicerGUEST
28:39
I got inspired by Piggy Banks.
Ryan SpicerGUEST
28:42
I don't know if you know them, the American company.
Ryan SpicerGUEST
28:45
And this company called, I still don't know how to say their name, but they're called Brand... next you ink next thing brand next thing I still don't even have to say it but I really respect these guys as artists and I really love what they're doing before I say anything because I really do I got inspired by them massively as I said to you you know I get inspired by people and you know that makes me want to do something um now we didn't have anything like this in the uk january 2025 at all of what i'm doing with the with the two mashup characters put together and stuff and i obviously thought about piggy banks and i thought about brand next to us and i got inspired by them both and i was thinking how could i make something that's similar but different bring it to the uk and i was just brainstorm all the time like um you know i get the one with the boobs out for you boys but There's the thumbnail.
Ryan SpicerGUEST
29:37
Yeah.
Ryan SpicerGUEST

As you can see, I don't know if you can see it, but I literally made my own borders and everything.

You're already playing characters to the board anyways in a game of Larkana, except unless you're playing Amber Ember Items, which I don't know how we forgot about that deck when we were talking about set championships.
RyanHOST
42:20
But nonetheless, back to the surfer, the stitches, you're already playing characters to the board, so it's not really that... conditional i would say to to have a card draw tied to a number of characters you have on the board and so with both the snowboarder and the surfer if you have two other characters on board you may draw a card on quest for the snowboarder and on play for the surfer which is just like a i'll call it semi-conditional then there's ohana means family for your card draw they also got the one of the best filter options in attack of the vine with bessie's bessie's assemble they have ramp on characters or ink cost reduction on characters with Ham, Piggy Bank, and Grandmother Willow that were recently printed in Wild Unknown.
RyanHOST
43:03
And so those are, I guess, Grandmother Willow is from Winter Spell, I suppose, but Ham is in Wild Unknown to really solidify that as an archetype for that list.
RyanHOST
43:12
or that not that list but that ink color they have pluto which is the one cost zero two that reduces ink costs for the next character you play you have aurora which reduces the ink cost on quests for princesses and queens there's just a lot of ways to get a lot of cards on board earlier than scheduled than printed scheduled and so that's interesting to follow that development um Another interesting thing that has happened with Amber is the blossoming of the support identity by simply printing a character card that banishes characters with a certain strength or higher.

... who remembers those piggy banks that NatWest dished out to kids in the '80s? I had the top one, Sir Nathaniel Westminster.
Sam DelaneyHOST
5:09
I was already in my 50s, but they gave it to me anyway because I was a fucking VIP and I demanded it.
Andy DawsonHOST
5:16
[laughs] Plus I was earning enough money to be able to put money into it, which of course is helpful.
Sam DelaneyHOST
9:53
I asked you to do it what, yesterday morning.
Sam DelaneyHOST
9:55
What time is it now? It's apparently lunchtime the next day.
Sam DelaneyHOST
9:59
One article on some fucking piggy banks.
Andy DawsonHOST
10:01
[laughs] Have you spent a day and a half trying to source pictures?
RoyHOST
40:48
Gone with the Moana as well and Pete in order to gain card advantage.
RoyHOST
40:54
But as far as everything goes, most of this deck is exactly the same as the last deck, with the exception of the new ramp package, which is Ham, Piggy Bank, and Grandmother Willow.
RoyHOST
41:09
Which, in a pinch, if you actually draw to Grandmother Willow, if you already got a Cinderella, if you cast Cinderella, you could actually... ink the grandmother willow and put that towards everything so it's never a lost card uh card The best thing about Cinderella, in my opinion, as being a really prime card for this deck, is the fact that you can make your uninkables turn into ink as the situation changes.
RoyHOST
41:35
You're going up against aggro, then you want to do a quick ramp and hopefully draw into that Raging Storm.
