Physical comedy

That's fair.

And we can talk about the physical comedy in this movie.

I think some of it works better than other moments.

The thing on the plane with the beet juice as he's wearing the bright white suit.

though.

It is still funny.

To me, the funnier physical comedy on the plane is... is when he puts his bag in the captain's closet.

He watches the bag be placed in the closet.

[laughs]

[laughs] Um, and so there is, there's a lot of physical comedy, but there's also a lot of, like, situational comedy.

There's ph- very funny dialogue.

It's not, um, modernized, but there- there is a lot of sort of modern humor to it and- and some, like, modern pop culture references.

Yeah, well, and, you, you know, and we try to add a l- you know, a lot of physical...

The writing is phenomenal.

Um, but we try to add some physical comedy in here.

Uh, when we auditioned for my role, I, I threw myself onto the stage, and Ty looks over and goes, "Are you okay?"

Uh [laughs] but they, uh, there's some fun, there's some fun kills in here.

A- and the actual concept of using, uh, a laundromat and a, and a, you know, like a dryer to go ahead and send someone through a portal to their eternal damnation in itself leads to some really fun physical comedy that I think the film does a good job, uh, taking, uh, taking advantage of.

Uh, one of the first lines that, uh, Romina has in the film, uh [laughs] uh, when they're actually discussing the, the [laughs] the logistics of there being a fucking portal there.

Uh, I love how she's just like, like, "The portal hasn't done anything to me.

So I was like, "Okay, I don't know why Kitty's lost an ear, but great, here we go." And then it was never brought up again, and I was like, "Oh."

There is quite a lot of physical comedy in it as well-

Yeah

... which is quite good, and we'll sort of talk about that as we go through.

[laughs]

And then she'd hide on another bit and then spritz her again.

This is the physical comedy we're talking about.

Which probably doesn't sound that funny when we're describing it to you, but I guarantee you it was very funny.

And the money pit and the birdcage.

And I'm finding that what they all have in common is really, really wonderful physical comedy.

You know, so he's my go-to for if you need to become an animal on stage.

Again, just speaking to your physical comedy skills as well.

Yeah.

And of course, he wasn't Shamu.

No, I love Kyle in anything like that.

I mean, it's you have in Houston.

I think that physical comedy is just like you're one of the masters of it.

I don't see anybody else even hitting that level sometimes.

And in that outfit would have been great and all those things.

The physical comedy of it all would have been hilarious.

The physical comedy.

I mean, I put in my notes like one of the first things that grabbed me was just how – Like you said, like Martin Short looks young, but he also plays young.

Like he has so much makeup in that first, like those move, the scene where you're watching their first film.
