Phosphorus

The inferior conjunction happens during the retrograde phase.

The superior when Venus is direct, so... kind of technical but i know some of you guys like to nerd out about that so the inferior conjunction venus kazemi we're not going to see venus for about eight days and then venus comes back in just before dawn uh so the greeks actually thought venus was two different planets They thought there were two names for Venus, Phosphorus and Hesperus.

Hesperus means

west.

Hesperus means west, so that's the western sky where you can see Venus at night.

And Phosphorus means bringer of light for the morning star Venus.

Now, we like to think of the Venus conjunction, it's a lot like a new moon.

It's a new Venus day.

Okay.

Eosphoros is the Morning Star, and then we're told there's another one named Austrus, A-U-S-T-R-U-S. He's not given a star, but in Au- but Auster in Latin, I've been told, means the south wind.

Hmm.

So this one's not associated with a star, but it is, he is associated with the wind, and we've talked about a myriad of characters who seem to have wind-like power.
