And another recent example, by the way, of a How to Rule the World alumni out in the world is none other than Phoebe Gates, the daughter of Bill Gates and Melinda Gates, who took the How to Rule the World secret class.

Her startup, uh, was claiming referrals it hadn't earned, you know, which potentially can turn out to fraud.

Um, uh, you know, it's a really tough story there.

Obviously, so me and Phoebe are in our early 20s, and we're just starting our careers, and we're figuring things out.

And so we wanted to ask you, what did that period look like for you, and what were the biggest things you learned?

The biggest difference, uh, f- for me and my generation and you and yours is that I was definitely supposed to get married and have children.

I also wanna return back to something you said earlier in the conversation, where you said people were telling you, like, "You need to get married and have kids." It's so interesting, 'cause I, I was talking with Phoebe the other day.

I was calling someone who I looked up to, who's very well-respected in the business world, and he asked me, "What's gonna happen to your company when you get married and have kids?" And in the moment, I honestly didn't know how to respond.

Recently she was on, uh, Phoebe Gates' podcast, so Bill Gates' daughter, who's currently in hot water because her startup was stealing affiliate commission from other online companies.

Um, she has a podcast with also her co-founder, and they had Bobbi Brown on, and she said something ridiculous about Botox.

She was like, "I tried it once.

And I feel like there are other fraudsters who are more interesting.

And a lot of the ways that we plan to monetize Ulta in the future are shopping links, right? Like, I want to be able to go into Becca's closet, see what she's wearing, and then if she has a jean I want, I'm going to buy that jean.

Like, that's, like, how things go, but we haven't turned that feature really on yet.

And so what happened with Phoebe Gates is, like, it's actually insane how many people – like, Caitlin Bristow, like – put money in.

So she basically went around and made this like cookie machine, like a shopping thing, like honey or whatever, where, you know, you want the discount.

I completely agree.

Do you know about the Phoebe Gates thing? Oh, yes.

Right.

So this is exactly what we're talking about with attribution, right? So basically they implemented a code in the background so that even if you purchase something without going to their site, it was that they claimed the sale.

It's making a comeback.

I guess that Phoebe Gates story where her affiliate marketing business was a fraud, I guess she was onto something.

She just was also a fraud.
