Yeah, it was better than it was week one.

And, you know, not having Philip Daniels, you would have loved it.

This would have been a great week to have everyone out there and have it sort of be a get-right game.

But if you're not going to have him, this is a good one to not have him because you didn't lose anything by not having him out there.

And, you know, this is, this is, you know, they, they did kind of what they needed to do.

They, you know, you got through this week, they got through reasonably healthy.

You, you really love, you know, Philip Daniels and Zion Grady sound like they are not long-term issues.

did he say anything about James Smith? I don't think I heard.

those two positions, you're talking about a defensive end and a defensive tackle where some of that depth could be challenged and then force Larry Johnson and Matt Patricia to get more creative there.

Phillip Daniels he didn't have any protective braces or anything on uh but he was walking very gingerly i asked several people after the game you know if next week was the target and they sort of just threw up their hands and shrugged and didn't seem all that confident that that was uh close for him gabe van sickle did get the start at right guard and austin serval was the right tackle i think gabe vance sickle just based on snap judgments initial impressions i thought he played pretty solidly yeah i i don't that's one of those things

i'm not going to really speculate on it because I need to rewatch.

It's really hard to see what's happening in the middle.

And we could really see it break out in a game like this.

Now, I'll just say regarding the Zion Grady injury, the Philip Daniels injury, it's just too bad that Ohio State doesn't have the medical staff that LSU has.

Let's wrap up with the offensive line.

We're not expecting Philip Daniels today.

I mean, it's not official yet, but we're expecting to not see Philip Daniels, much like Zion Grady.

All right, the other thing on the offensive side of the ball before we go to the defense, the other thing on the offensive side of the ball that I'm going to be watching with a lot of intent is the offensive line.

So I do not think Philip Daniels returns today.

I think he is going to be not available in this football game.

So does Austin kick the right? Who's that right guard? Do they go with Padilla? Do they go back to Van Sickle again? How does that look? Ian Moore had a bad game at left tackle last week.

And you know, the thing that could have the most lasting impact on this team is if Gabe Bancickel shows that, I know it's Kent State, but if he plays a game that really draws the attention of Tyler Bowen and Arthur Smith and Ryan Day and puts that in the back of their mind, all right, You did some of this in training camp and they moved Austin Cervell to tackle and guard.

They had chances to look at Philip Daniels out there and do every configuration.

But those weren't in real live game settings.

Yeah.

If Gabe Van Sickle shows more of the Indiana version of himself than the one against Miami, I and we don't know for sure.

Again, for an injury update, those aren't going to be out on the availability report until next week.

But Philip Daniels, we also don't expect to play.

So if Gabe Van Sickle maxes that out, if he does that and is playing against Illinois, what does that mean for that group moving forward? It's great to have depth.

I understand why they used the tight ends against Texas.

If you were unsure heading into the game about Philip Daniels and Ian Moore, use your tight ends to help out there.

It did condense what they could do in the passing game.

It didn't bother them in the first half.

Not getting worked, but...

Having a mixed bag against Ball State and being pretty good against Texas, there has to be some sort of middle ground there with this offensive line, which is why I said I was going to snake because I just want to talk about this offensive line, Mick.

Now Philip Daniels is out of the picture.

He's probably not going to play at right tackle.

The fact that they couldn't lean on their offensive line in the fourth quarter against Texas is a little bit disappointing.

But now with Phillip Daniels, he's probably not going to play tomorrow.

You're kind of trying some different options, right? We'll get to see Gabe VanSickle with the starters a little bit more and also Sarah Lowe.

What does he look like as a right tackle? What does Carter Lowe look like? as a depth piece.
