From 1974 onward, I worked directly with Philippe Stern and Gérard Busch, the general manager on Rue de Rome.

They had such immense watchmaking culture that they taught me everything.

Philippe Stern, who created the museum, had an extraordinary knowledge of the whole watch.

Once the movement was validated dimensionally, they would give it to us.

Then Philippe Stern would choose sketches sent by outside designers, often only front views, and we had to transform a front view into a three-dimensional object.

At the time, we worked on drawing boards, so it was a fantastic school for learning how to give a harmonious shape to any design.
