Anyways, so they're sued by Opus One Winery, a joint venture between Robert Mondavi, Corps of Oakville, California, and Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Bordeaux, France.

Basically, they're being sued for using the name Opus.

Opus was already trademarked by Opus One, and the argument was that If they're using Opus X, then there's going to be confusion because a lot of the customer base will overlap.

And, you know, the history behind Opus, obviously, is Baron Philippe Rothschild and Bob Mondavi bringing, you know, what they felt that they wanted to do was to make, you know, not a Bordeaux wine, not a Napa wine, just a unison between the two parties to make a great wine.

It didn't matter where it was from.

They just wanted Opus 1 to be competing on the world stage as some of the finest wines made in the world.
