How's your season been?

It's been hit and miss, Pete.

I guess it's been the same for you as well.

literally hardly any water hot temperatures it's just been a case of I've just let the fish do what they're going to do hopefully they're not going to go anywhere anytime soon so they'll be there grilling in the winter I think is what I'm maybe everybody's hoping for a good end to the season but I'm thinking more ahead to the grilling season now so fingers crossed for that

I wish you every success with that I'm admiring the flies because I bought some of those from you as well you custom tied me some which I was looking the other day I was sort of mullet fishing a little bit and I tried them on the mullet but that's one thing so far that your flies haven't worked on but they have been fantastic yeah there'll be time I'll stick with it if I if I can I can see your fly box there in some beautiful flies is you know you're no stranger to these sorts of things uh do you have a plan in mind of what you're going to tie you just sort of get here for the day and and um start tying

um so i sort of just i pack wherever whatever i can fit in the bag sort of comes with me um but over the years i've sort of whittled it down to these are the patterns i'm going to tie and it'll just be the usual trout and grayling dry flies a couple of sedges so i just bring the stuff to tie them with and then obviously you get the the people that come along asking you to try to tie it something that you've not got anything for um but that's just the way it goes but yeah so i'd tend to keep it keep it simple these days just minimal flies that you can just knock out and fill the box up at the same time and all
