Philip Solomon

Yeah.

Here's Philip Solomon from Dondi.

When as a bigger personality, how do you think someone like Devin contemporary is heart on his sleeve, main character energy to do well in this game?

I mean, that's a great question.

Exactly.

So I don't want to hear you talking no nonsense from here on out, Phil.

I just can't believe, and do you see Philip Solomon's comment at the bottom of the chat right here? Can you see this? He was ready to jump in.

He's ready to steal your spot.

Everybody knows I'm here

So a young Van Morrison, when he's in The Monarchs, they get signed by a managing d- duo, Merv and Philip Solomon.

And to just give a little reference, a contemporary at that time with a similar style was a guy named Don Arden.

And Don Arden's daughter, Sharon Arden, who marries Ozzy Osbourne and becomes Sharon Osbourne.

But Don managed bands like Black Sabbath and The Small Faces, Electric Light Orchestra, and Sweet Gene Vincent, as well as The Animals, and very early on he was a manager for Queen as well.

Solomon brothers were a challenging couple of guys.

They would push it and push it pretty hard.

Well, in 1963, of November of 1963, The Monarchs break up when Morrison joins a band called Them, and we'll explore that when we come back in just a moment.

Joined as always by Lauren Pratt, podcaster extraordinary, uh, did amazing coverage on the Willy Wonka show.

A lot of great viewership on that, so shout out to Lauren for that, and Philip Zalman from Deal or No Deal: Island 2.

How you guys doing today?

I'm not mad.

We'll dive into exactly what our thoughts are on the Big Brother aspect of it all.

But yes, if you have not watched Wonka, and I will be covering the back half of those episodes, it's really actually quite good.

It sh- I, as I'm looking at Philip's face here, just give it a shot.

I will give it a shot this weekend.
