So what's happening in that timeframe to help make connection and community easier at the event itself?

Phil MershonGUEST
We have a seasonal community where every event has its own community, even though there are people that are part of the event year over year.

Phil MershonGUEST
We just have found that to be a better model for what we're doing, 'cause we have a year-round membership that is its own thing.

Phil MershonGUEST
When someone first purchases, it depends on how far away from the event they are, but the first thing we wanna do is send them helpful information that trains them that, "Hey, we're gonna send you helpful information via email.

Phil MershonGUEST
We want to get you some emails really quickly that set you up." If it's nine months away, that's probably gonna be all that we do.

Shana LynnHOST
And then what does that look like? So when somebody says, "I'm coming"- And the community, let's say they bought their ticket two weeks out or three weeks out, is the community one of the first things that you invite them to be a part of? Or where does that fall in the invitation and the information that follows?

But when it's been spectacular, when it's been unforgettable, that is when it makes the difference, right? Yeah.

Phil MershonGUEST
One of the frameworks that's in the book that I teach is how do you get something to be unforgettable? And there's three M's.

Phil MershonGUEST
And what I mean by those is memorable means it's something that's going to stand out.

Phil MershonGUEST
It might tie into all five of your senses because the fastest way to memory is to be multisensory.

It's a problem for them, and it's a problem for us 'cause the sponsors want them coming.

Phil MershonGUEST
It's a better experience if the room feels full, and they're, uh, you know, the customer's missing out.

Phil MershonGUEST
So the three things that we came up with was, one, they needed to get some work done; two, they might wanna take a nap; and three, they might want to brush their teeth.

Phil MershonGUEST
We'll create some space where it's quieter, where they can get some work done, no problem.
