Phil Hubbard

Last summer when we had the outing and we're in Ann Arbor and Dusty just bent over backwards to make sure that their team, those players got to know us.

And whether it was Steve Grody and Wayman Britton and Phil Hubbard coming from 10 years before us, to our group, to the groups after that, like they wanted everyone to be a family.

And I think that's a huge part of why those kids last year were able to come together so quickly is they saw the brotherhood.

And once again, you know, Alan Schrager and, and Lewis Bullock and Mark Hughes and Josh Stoller have put that together and made that a reality every year.

I, I think half of the city was there to cheer on Campy Russell.

Um, the surprising one, I did not remember this, Ricky Green The point guard from Vincennes Junior College played at Michigan in the national championship game against Indiana in 1976 with the great Phil Hubbard.

Um, he played in 1984, which was my rookie year.

Juwan Howard played in one All-Star game.

And he, any time he played a kid from the Big Ten, he would try to kick their ass.

You know, Kent Benson, Phil Hubbard, it was personal.

He, he was still taking out his revenge that, that they had better clothes than he did when he was in college, you know, and didn't treat Southern Indiana well.

So, so yeah, you could kind of, you knew.
