2:52
I'll let you just tell us your beginning story and we'll continue to pull the thread as we go.
2:59
Yeah, man.
2:59
I think God in doing this so many times, it's always interesting when this question comes up because the Holy Spirit tells me what to answer and how to answer.
3:07
It just feels so clear.
3:10
My mom's on hospice right now.
3:12
Oh, my God.
3:13
And I was on the phone last night for hours with funeral homes and end-of-life planning and trying to support remotely with a broken family that, you know, her whole side of the family I haven't spoken to.

39:53
And you're not capable of it now, which is the fear that drives
40:44
So how do you become unattached to the out environment?
40:49
Well, I love this and I'm so glad you said it because I, and I shared this before the show, you know, I'm 43 and I've had it all.
40:58
I could have retired.
41:00
been done and now i'm going through a divorce and i'm like oh i'm all baby again i'm starting all over right and so same thing for me it never goes away it was like oh i need the result turns out no that's just the devil trying to distract me what i need is a different perspective right because all the result is is you showing up right like i'll use a really simple example you don't show up to a marathon to train and then run it.
41:28
You show up the marathon to pick your medal up for all the training you've done leading up to it, right? It's no different, right? So you can have a number in mind, you can have a goal in mind, right? But you can't be attached to it if the attachment is preventing you from putting the behaviors or inputs in place that would allow it to be created anyways.
41:52
And I say this to people, and my friend Alex Sharfman said this years ago, and he said, you don't have the business you want because you haven't become the person to run it yet.
42:01
And I need people to really sit with that.

9 MINS LATER

51:23
Did you ever think this is the work you'd end up doing?
0:58
Because, you know, we've had-- this is probably our third or fourth time we've chatted, and every time we talk, I feel [chuckles] like I learn something new and dynamic and that has incredible depth and, uh, I just wanna level set for the audience so they know before we, we get into everything.
1:13
Yeah, man, I would love it.
1:14
And I'll give, I'll give the elevator version or else we would have to do an eight-part series on this.
1:18
Uh, I've learned, you know, to give, to give the, the cliff notes if we're going back to our childhood, right? I never read the books.
1:24
I wanted the cliff notes.
1:25
So I'll start with this, that I never set out to be who I am today.
1:30
It feels like the man I am, the life I live, the business I have was a series of accidents, which I now know were just God keeping me aligned.

50 MINS LATER

52:09
If you could, if there was a way to begin the journey to being seen, obviously we can't and everyone's specific, but if, if there was a thing, an idea, a philosophy, something that the person sitting here listening to us going, "Oh my God, George, I am literally swimming in this lake of unseen right now," how do they start to course-correct that journey? What's the first step they take to the path to being seen as you feel today?
8:26
So
8:27
I want to be really honest with everybody.
8:30
I struggled with it really hard until I met Jesus.
8:33
And now I realize that God doesn't send me messages of struggle.
8:38
God doesn't communicate with doubt or shame or guilt or fault or blame.
8:43
That's the enemy.
8:44
And if you're not saved, call it what you want.

9 MINS LATER

17:22
Our prison of prior conditioning, what does that bring to your mind and what does it make you think about when you heard me say that?
3:34
Can you talk to us a little bit about that period, that timeline, and we'll use that as a jumping-off point?
3:39
I, I love it, man.
3:40
Yeah.
3:40
And, you know, for everybody listening, number one, thank you for just taking the time to listen if you've made it this far.
3:46
I think when we get to the end, you're gonna be in one of two buckets.
3:48
You either think I'm crazy, and either way, you're right and you love me or, or hate me.
3:52
And either way, I still love you and I'll pray for you.

25 MINS LATER

29:13
[chuckles] Same, brother.
