Phantom Manor

Yeah, so I had when we went, you know, that's where I kind of started implementing the one attraction per hour rule, but Space Mountain was on that list, Undermountain was on that list.

So we'll talk about the other two maybe, which would be Phantom Manor and then the Indiana Jones coaster.

The Indiana Jones coaster is stupid.

I knew that one would be a quick one for you.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Phantom Manor I liked.

It was cute.

He took himself off to pass the time on some of the rides.

He enjoyed the Phantom Manor, as they called it here, with its incredible special effects, the ballroom full of twirling, ghostly 18th century dancers, that terrible time-wrecked dining room set for the wedding breakfast that never was, with the hapless bride's wraith appearing in the room, then another phantom seated playing the organ.

a glass bowl in which a pallid human woman's head talked endlessly of terrible portents, and that amazing moment on the way out when a mirror showed him seated between a pair of ghastly creatures.

It was certainly value for money.

Paris's is ugly.

Which is sad, because Paris's shouldn't be ugly, because it's on that incredible Big Thunder and that incredible Phantom Manor.

Were you really surprised? I was expecting it to be great.

The river, yeah, the river's weird.

Oh.

Honestly, and then the thing that really, really annoyed me was we were in the queue for Phantom Manor and You know when you're in a queue for something and your friends are over at the other end of it but there's like a big gravelly rockery type thing and plants and trees and stuff so you can't get to them and you just walk over it anyway to go and have a quick chat with them.

And then realise that you can't actually climb over the fence there so you go back to where you came from and then just push your way through the queue to get to them.

You know when you do that?

Really? Maybe it's because we always have to stop at least one point.

But it's very much like if you've been on Haunted Mansion or Phantom Manor.

Yeah, it's like a dune buggy.

Yeah, yeah.

And of course, Haunted Mansion is different on East Coast, West Coast.

It's Phantom Manor in Paris, which I have, again, totally different experience.

But I know that the ones like in Hong Kong, I'm thinking especially, that one's Phantom Manor, right? Or is that one...

Mystic Manor

I love that.

I'll tell you what, it might be controversial, but Phantom Manor is better than any haunted mansion anywhere in the world.

And obviously some of the characters from the Phantom Manor in Disneyland Paris, they're pretty awesome.

A great story.

It is controversial, isn't it? There's a pig at Disneyland Paris at the moment, actually.
