Shearwater

Now, we know that she's definitely at least that age because of a ring that was put on her leg, and there may well be other seabirds out there that haven't been ringed that are actually older than that.

It's thought that things like Manx, Shearwaters and Fulmers could maybe be living and still reproducing after a century.

It's just that we haven't been around doing the ringing of them long enough to actually monitor one for that long.

But at least with this albatross wisdom, we know for sure that she is at least 75 years old and is still reproducing successfully, which is mind-blowing.

Like, we didn't see the carpet of shearwaters that we've seen before.

Like I said, we didn't see the skua.

But getting other people to hear like the Pinkfoot and Shearwaters, I thought was really fun.

Yeah.

And the Mola Molas.

We get them in the summer, and they're usually eruptive.

So one year we'll have a whole bunch of them, and then the next three or four years, none.

So we had a bunch of them out there, and a bunch of the Sooty Shearwaters.
