It's Kalamazoo, the famous WKZO and, uh, WMKT AM and FM throughout beautiful Northern Michigan all the way up to Mackinac Island, Traverse City, Petoskey, Elk Rapids, you name it.

Lovely to be heard by you this morning.

There are two distinct types of rocks that I'll tell you about.

We have the Petoskey Stone and the Charlevoix Stone.

I think the Petoskey Stone was probably better known at first.

In Charlevoix, we got a little jealous and named a stone after itself.

So they are unique because they're actually fossilized coral.

The Charlevoix Stone, I think it looks a little bit like snakeskin.

It's very small and compact.

And then the Petoskey Stone is a little bit larger of a coral formation.

Retired investigators, a local historian, and author Marty Link teamed up to bring this case back to the community's attention.

They organized forums, presenting the facts of the investigation to packed rooms in Harbor Springs, Petoskey, and planned one for Charlevoix.

Their message was clear.

Despite the rumors and myths that have swirled around this case for decades, they believed there was no mystery here.

Coopersville might be one of the biggest surprises so far at 2-0.

They're gonna take on 2-0 Petoskey.

How do you handicap this game, number one, but number two, how impressed have you been with Coopersville? I know it's just back-to-back games, but still, what they've done so far, are you surprised by much?

Yeah, good morning, Shep.

Mm-hmm.

The one guy from last week was Corbin Mountman, a sophomore running back, 265 yards, two touchdowns in, you know, in that win over West Catholic.

So for Coopersville, I think last week beating West Catholic, first time since 2019, is just gonna be huge kind of moving forward now into this game against Petoskey.

Hmm.

So I don't know what we're gonna do with all these catchers we have, but there's gonna be some, maybe some moves, maybe we can get some pitching that we need, but whatever, but it's a good problem to have.

Then Baez, um, I won't get into the story too much, but there's three grocery stores [laughs] in Petoskey, and I'm, I think I'm not welcome at one of them.

It's a long story.

Somebody got into it [laughs] with me about Baez, and I said, "What the hell are you talking about? I didn't say all that." You know, "Pena can't hit nothing.

Harbor Springs is the Cottleville of the Petoskey.
