Peters Township High School

There was a dead girl in the back of that car, and the only reason the police were standing there at all is that her own father had been tracking her.

Carolyn Heintz was just 18 years old, fresh out of Peters Township High School, and she was right on the edge of starting her whole life.

She had just enrolled at Penn West, California, down in southwestern Pennsylvania, made the women's soccer team as a freshman, and was only days from her first semester.

On August 20th of 2026, she spent the day with her family and was supposed to drive back to campus that night.

But soccer wasn't her only sport.

She played field hockey for Peters Township High School.

And after she was gone, her field hockey team posted a tribute that I want to read to you.

Because I think it paints a really clear picture of her.

But Caroline wasn't just an athlete.

She was really smart, and she had her future mapped out.

In the spring of 2026, she graduated from Peters Township High School.

And that fall, she was headed to Penn, West California, where she planned to major in biology.

Caroline Hines was 18 years old.

She had just graduated from Peters Township High School outside Pittsburgh and was starting her freshman year at Penn West, California.

And this wasn't a kid who was trying to figure out what she wanted to do someday.

Caroline apparently already knew.
