Signatures, email signatures, etc.
8:58
Email signatures.

And so, you know, in order to capture that, I needed something different.
9:03
And it was, it was kind of a moment where I'm playing in cloud code, and we had built it up for regen X, and I won't get into detective, build it up for regen, and I'm getting good results, but they weren't perfect.
9:14
And then, you know, I, I do stable diffusion, which is text to image processing.
9:20
And in part of that, we were sending prompts out to a large language model in order to read things or images out to or in order to read things and then bring them back.
9:30
And so I turned to Claude and I said, Can we send a picture of this contact information to a large language model, and it can then read it and then populate, you know, a, you know, a JSON file, a JSON file back to the thing.

um and allows you to focus on other things so let's kind of talk next about your crm expedition so um what's the next one that you're sort of working on that um with ai you built scout which is in the chrome app store uh chrome extension store and then what's the next one you're working on
30:01
What are some good actions that you've seen in HR that have seen some really good positive results? So they may have started off, you know, looking like they're not being able to rescue and
30:12
Well, I'll go back in time.
30:15
It was back in the time when I was the head of people within a fairly large organization back in South Africa.
30:22
Organization wasn't doing too well on turnover.
30:25
Staff morale was low.
30:28
But we went in and we advocated to get employee engagement up and running.
30:34
Long story short, we brought in an independent specialist in the area, ran employee engagement surveys.
35:20
A myth.
1:17
I
1:19
think there's a benefit in keeping the topic relatively simple for the consumer because you get to a world where there's 21 different energy providers.
1:29
Now, we work with Octopus and we also have a good relationship with E.ON and those two combined is about 40% of the market.
1:35
But there are other large name, big energy suppliers who are significant in the market, but maybe I'm taking 10% share of it.
1:43
The retailer is likely to be confronted with consumers that are coming from any different energy supplier.
1:47
Yes.
1:48
So I think if at that moment in time, if you are trying to get into the details of which energy tariff the customer is on or should be on, it's in the weeds.

12:00
So do you see in the next five years smart tariffs being standard for everybody or people will be more familiar with what they're actually paying? for their charging.
10:38
For people at home, what's the difference between the net overseas migration and the permanent migration target?
10:44
Well, permanent migrants are people who are given the right to remain in Australia permanently.
10:51
And the level of permanent migration, and that includes skilled workers, family migration, which is largely the husbands and wives of Australian citizens, and the humanitarian or refugee movement, those three.
11:08
And the number is set by the cabinet in the budget each year and is very strictly capped.
11:15
By the 30th of June of the year, the numbers in the permanent coming in under the permanent program are pretty much exactly the number that was specified in the budget.
11:31
And the level of permanent migration hasn't changed very much at all in the last 15 years.
11:37
It's varied between about 170,000 and 210,000, pretty narrow range.

7 MINS LATER

18:32
What would each three of those scenarios look like? Is any better than the other? Are they even achievable? Or is Pauline's more achievable because she's actually talking about something the government can control?
11:19
Ah
11:19
... and then are you gonna PCP it or take it through a lease? And then how long is the lease gonna be? And you've got all of that going on, and I, and my take is the customer is deeply engaged which car they're gonna choose.
11:30
Which, which of these models, and they'll probably go test drive something.
11:32
And the, that's quite a, a str- And I think if we're looking about our category, early adopters would then have purchased their car, and then they will also drool all over which home charger do they want.
11:45
And they'll look between the 50 or 20 different ones, and I think we're now in a position we're not dealing with early adopters anymore.
11:52
We're dealing with the, I guess, it's not, it's also the sort of early majority, if that makes sense.
11:58
And I think those particular customers, they've gone through buying a car.
14:06
How quickly is the lead time from decision to install from a charging for the box?
2:00
He says that will be the final straw for some beekeepers.
2:04
This is terribly concerning.
2:06
You know, we've, we've always known that this would potentially happen.
2:09
Um, it's happened in every other country in the world.
2:12
We thought that, uh, in Australia, we've been very, very lucky to be the last country in the world to, to get varroa.
2:17
Um, and we thought, uh, we'd, we'd go along the same lines as the re-- other countries in that over time, you know, maybe five, ten years down the track, we would start seeing some resistance to the chemicals.
2:30
But within the space of, you know, since varroa come in in 2022, we're now in four years later, we've got, um, resistance and heavy resistance to the two primary chemical treatments we had that, um, were able to control varroa.

So where does the spark for this story come from when you and John sat down to write this initially?
1:00
Well, we had, um, the idea to make a story set around a character like Rick, somebody who's still in the music business but is in the hard yards of it.
1:14
Um, still has the swagger of a rock musician but is bringing out the bins on a wet Tuesday and driving his daughter to school in, you know, a two-door, two-door or the band van.
1:27
And, uh, we wanted to set something in that guy's world because we just, we know lots of musicians, and, uh, we just find that dynamic, uh, fascinating.
1:39
And also the juxtaposition between, you know, what we see as glamorous rock and roll lifestyle and the reality of, you know, making a living out of playing, um, music and singing.
1:52
So, uh, and while we were exploring this char- character, we thought upon the idea that what if he had, uh, one of the classic cases where he had a piece of material appropriated that became successful, and he did not get the credit? Because it would unearth all the frustration he had at not making it the first time around and, uh, would set him on a very interesting course, and the audience on a very interesting course for the music.
2:24
And then of course, you had the flip side of the person who steals the song.

What was that like, that whole process and him doing this? And then kind of, you know, working with him on a day-to-day basis.
