Peter Ebdon

I definitely think I'd have made the top 32, um, beat a lot of the top players, but I lost to players that I never thought should be beating me.

The likes of, I beat Joe Perry with Joe O'Connor's cue because my cue didn't turn up, and then I beat Matthew Stevens, I beat Peter Ebdon, Nigel Bond, Tom Ford, Mark Selby.

Um, you know, lo- loads-

Unlucky me, I actually haven't looked, believe it or not, at the table.

I normally would, but reminding myself it's John Power and Peter Ebdon on nine, then it's Ali Carter level with Stephen Maguire on seven, and we know how brilliant Maguire ...

That's another guy that could've won more, Maguire of course.

And then you've got Ken Doherty, Stuart Bingham, and Zhao Xintong on six.

Ken, Ken Doherty.

Peter Ebdon.

Ebdon.

Remember him?

I've always wondered whether he can put it together for a tournament, and I suppose this week he showed that he can.

And maybe working with Peter Ebdon isn't the worst thing, 'cause Shaun Murphy, his results have improved while working with Peter Ebdon.

It didn't work out for Jak Lazowski, but you know, people are different.

Players are different.

I'd just like to see new winners.

Nopon, though, has had an unbelievable week and teaming up with Peter Ebdon looks to be a great move.

So it will be interesting to see how the rest of his season goes.

about the city, about the venue.

So, you know, based on that, let's hope it is back there.

Number two, although slightly disappointing for Nopon, because he comes across as a nice, humble guy, is that the issue? Is Nopon too nice for top-level snooker? And how far will adding Peter Ebdon to his coaching team go to address that? It's an interesting one, isn't it? I don't know about being too nice.

I think once you get out there, you just play the game and you're sort of hard-headed.
