Um, and what I was allowed to watch was even more limited.
Rona MunroGUEST
21:25
So it was, it was books and then, you know, the kids TV, the Blue Peter and all things like that.
Sophie AldredHOST
21:31
Yes.
Rona MunroGUEST
21:31
But there were, there were some, um, again, some TV series.

21 MINS LATER

Rona MunroGUEST
42:09
Whereas in film, I think it's more the director.
Rona MunroGUEST
42:11
It's a so-and-so's film.
Rona MunroGUEST
42:13
You know, I was, I did a film with, with Ken Loach, so it's Ken Loach film, you know? Um, and telly, um, God, well, the last telly I would've done, actually, um, that got produced is, was the, um, the, the, uh, the Doctor Who with, with Peter as the-
Sophie AldredHOST

Oh, my goodness.
StevenHOST
13:49
Also, just an important note here.
StevenHOST
13:51
We've talked about these collection, the Matt Smith, the complete Matt Smith years and the complete Jodie Whittaker years and the Peter Capaldi years that are coming November 3rd, I want to say, on Amazon.com. There's no, you can pre-order them now.
StevenHOST
14:09
You can't, of course there's no release date or pre-order on .ca, but whatever, it'll happen.
StevenHOST
14:15
And the initial postings said like they were, they only had the one picture, which looked like it was from the, you remember that big giant box set that they made, that limited edition box set? Vaguely, yes.
JTHOST
22:27
Okay, the answer is two.
JTHOST
22:29
Woo! The first doctor, William Harnell, was 55, and the 12th doctor was Peter Capaldi.
JTHOST
22:36
It just seems right, you know? It does.
JTHOST
22:38
Is one of them
Rob IrwinHOST
1:30
It's written as this one hander.
Rob IrwinHOST
1:32
It's got Peter Capaldi acting his brains out.
Rob IrwinHOST
1:35
It's designed to stand out and to be special.
Rob IrwinHOST
1:40
So it almost seems like a cheat to be here on my list.
Mark RawlinsGUEST
8:01
So, remember when he
Mark RawlinsGUEST
8:01
got to Peter Capaldi? We're all like, oh, it's time for the Valiant.
Mark RawlinsGUEST
8:06
We were always waiting for that, weren't we? But, you know, Wind Trial of a Time Lord, that seems so far
Mark RawlinsGUEST
8:12
off.
DylanHOST
11:58
It was written by Alan Barnes and Mike Maddox, directed by Barnaby Edwards and produced by David Richardson.
DylanHOST
12:05
It was released on the 17th of December 2013 and was recorded on the 15th and 20th of May 2013 at The Moat Studios.
DylanHOST

News at the time, the Paternostra gang were back to help Peter Capaldi in his first episode as the 13th Doctor, and Audio Go went into administration, and that was the news, apart from rolling out Time of the Doctor.
Mark RawlinsGUEST
12:32
Oh, Audio Go, which meant we never got that Unearthly Child reading by William Russell.
Diane MorganGUEST
49:45
John Sessions.
Alexei SayleHOST
49:46
And Peter Capaldi? No, he wasn't in it.
Alexei SayleHOST
49:50
Peter who? You just said Peter.
Alexei SayleHOST
49:52
Peter Richardson.
Tony RuizHOST
64:16
The fourth season has three episodes.
Tony RuizHOST
64:19
But this one introduced me to so many actors who would later go on to be kind of household names, like Johnny Lee Miller and Kieran Hines and Peter Capaldi and James Frayn.
Tony RuizHOST
64:32
I was like, ooh, these people all showed up later.
Tony RuizHOST
64:36
but yes I watched Prime Suspect 3 and fell in love that was actually the first I went back and watched 1 and 2 but Prime Suspect 3 was my first introduction to Helen Mirren

But Steven Moffat sort of has that has that gift with with tech or devices or like or things.
MelvinPANELIST
19:56
So I really love, you know, we know the memory worm from the mostly from the Peter Capaldi era where it was used for the most part as a sort of comic device.
MelvinPANELIST
20:08
And here it's sort of used to like really give the story a tragic hue.
MelvinPANELIST
20:13
So I'm really in.
Dan HadleyHOST
34:53
What's your final pick?
Charlotte ShieldsPANELIST
34:56
I wanted to have a Capaldi and I did struggle but I've sort of landed on the Doctor Falls because when I think of his Doctor so many of my favourite scenes come from this episode when it's him and also I think this is probably at times one of the most bleak New Who's ever been with this sort of the way Bill's treated in this, the fact that she's a Cyberman for a good chunk of this story, and they don't shy away from that.
Charlotte ShieldsPANELIST
35:34
You get that scene.
Charlotte ShieldsPANELIST
35:34
Grim,
Charlotte ShieldsPANELIST
35:58
And the actress who plays Bill, she plays that absolute, you can tell she's angry, she's hurt, she's confused, and she's heartbroken.
Charlotte ShieldsPANELIST
36:11
And all those emotions in that scene.
Charlotte ShieldsPANELIST
36:15
And then you've sort of got the doctor having to try and deal with the fact that he has to basically walk next to her like this is his friend and he knows what's happened to her so you get this feeling with Capaldi throughout the whole of this story and I think it's part of that grimness of God, I've let another person die.
Charlotte ShieldsPANELIST
36:40
I've let another friend have this horrible
ChrisHOST
50:39
Right.
ChrisHOST
50:39
Yeah, Peter Capaldi's in it.
ChrisHOST
50:41
I forgot that it's interesting.
ChrisHOST
50:45
Yeah, he's in
