That's right, two years ago.

I was driving to my happy place in Ocean Grove, and I was listening to Peter Brukner on the ABC.

He was talking about Eat to Beat Diabetes with Leon Compton, and I heard about diabetes remission for the first time.

I literally had to stop driving.

So I've already alluded to why we're talking to you today.

Rod asked.

He-- I was privileged to be invited to Peter Brukner's house to have a bit of a round table and talk about why this wasn't getting traction, and he thought to invite me, having worked with the Defeat Diabetes study, um, worked closely with Despina, his PhD candidate at the time, and I talked about what we did.

So Rod said, "You seem to know what you're doing, so why don't you come along and talk?" And I'm here to show people what we are doing.
