Um, and I put in that, I put, uh, actually, uh, my buddy, Pete Thorne, amazing guitar player and very dear friend of mine.
Jon ButtonGUEST
6:03
Um, we went to his studio and did a capture of his Marshall guitar amp.
Jon ButtonGUEST
6:09
So for people that aren't familiar with what that is, you can plug this quad cortex into into like basically you plug it into the amp and it makes a bunch of frequency noises right and it yeah it sweeps that's a good way to put it thank you um and sort of captures the sound of that amp and then when you play through the the uh modeler it sounds just almost exactly like that amp yeah so anyway i so pete let me capture his amp so i use that and uh svt that's built into it um But in addition to that, in the band, Zach Starkey is playing electric drums.

Phil McKnightHOST
17:38
They are polished.
Billy RoweGUEST
32:03
The 1973, though, sounds killer.
Billy RoweGUEST
32:05
In fact, there's a video you can find online of a mic shootout at Sweetwater Music, one of our sponsors, uh, uh, where Pete Thorn is doing the mic shootout.
Billy RoweGUEST
32:18
And, and he...
Billy RoweGUEST
32:20
They're pulling up, you know, they're playing, uh, kinda iconic riffs, and they're pulling up different mics, you know-

Marc HuzanskyHOST

I, so I'm wondering if that's what they're getting ready for, 'cause I saw that Phil X, Michael Anthony.
Marc HuzanskyHOST

Wasn't, uh, Pete Thorn also doing it? Like some rock and roll fantasy-
Dave FriedmanHOST
76:58

Ross HogarthGUEST

You know, if you're, if you're, you know, if like someone like Pete Thorn is wanting to endorse your product or something, you know, that's super valuable.
Dave FriedmanHOST
52:42
You know? Super valuable.
Dave FriedmanHOST
52:44

I know Pete Thorne was running wet, dry, wet for a while when he was touring with, I can't remember who, but he, where he had like two or three of the PT 100 heads and stuff.
Rhett ShullHOST
77:39
But I get like, he was going for a specific sound, kind of like what I'm doing with, with the midnight.
Rhett ShullHOST
77:46
But like, I don't know.
