I'm extremely nervous.

It's less nerve-wracking being on Sunrise with Pete Evans.

[laughs]

So why the Heart Foundation petition? Um, I had a woman on my blog the other day, or on my Facebook page, who was really upset with me for a blog post I did about margarine and, um, the detrimental health effects because she said, um, her white bread and margarine is her special treat.

And a lot of Australians as well.

And a lot of the Australian people are saying, Is that Pete Evans? Oh, another Pete.

Another Pete.

Pete Evans from My Kitchen Rules, remember? He was on it like a few years ago.

The Aussie one? Yeah, there was the French guy and

then the other dude.

Conspiracy theorist.

But I can see it, Dan.

[laughs] So obviously Joe and I are very passionate about, um, the quality, um, of our food and ensuring that we can deliver the most delicious and nutritious food for our customers.

So it only made sense, um, that in September this year we collaborate with, um, the best in the business, uh, Chef Pete Evans, um, who is now our consultant chef and brand ambassador.

Uh, our vision is to become an internationally trusted and recognized brand and a market leader in the real food movement.

We pride ourselves on being a safe and enjoyable place for people to eat no matter what their health or fitness situation or, and goals might be.

Because I know Swiss have direct democracy, which I've mentioned on the podcast before.

And I mentioned that with Pete Evans.

And that clip went very... went quite viral.

And unbeknownst to me how much people were going to resonate with that idea that we could have a direct connection to the direction of the country.

And there was so much popularity for it online that I thought, let's turn this into a live show.

So it was a one-hour show with not just Karl Stefanovic, but Gina Reinhart and Husey and Pete Evans, all these sorts of characters.

It was

the who's who of?

As long

as Pete Evans even.

Yeah, Pete.

He does a podcast.

Businesses were very keen to sponsor and exhibit, but the public were now, they were, what's the word, saturated with wellness messages.

I think Pete Evans' rise to fame from MasterChef chef to wellness chef Guru was almost reflective of what we might call peak wellness.

Sarah Wilson became very well-known.

Belle Gibson had her time with infamy.

They had the little clubs, the little wellness things, and then they might have gone back to their old friendship groups.

I think that was part of what happened.

But the blow up from the media storm around Bell Gibson, Pete Evans, it kind of outlawed wellness.

And then things around gluten became just kind of almost a bit unpopular or a little bit out of reach from a finance perspective.
