Tell me a little bit more about the insurance business because we haven't taken a deep dive into that.

Tell me more about that.

So if you told me 10 years ago I'd be working pet insurance, I never would have believed you because I was never an advocate for insurance.

And one thing that I've noticed across the board with insurance companies for pets is is there's been great improvement along from the time I started in the vet field to now.

I've just been feeling a little bit down this past week.

I don't want to say why, because it's a stupid reason, you know, and like to each their own as to what upsets you or what bothers you but i sort of always get that meme in my head where it's like kim there are people that are dying right so you know i know that there are bigger problems than mine but yeah i was just feeling a little bit down last week but um i'm here today happy to chat with you guys but just not not feel in the video um i went to a new vet with my dog yesterday and it went really really well i really liked them and she didn't freak out and didn't lose her mind and didn't try to bite anyone so it was a very successful trip but that being said okay well kind of separate but like i just got my pet insurance renewal

for the year And so I was

initially paying, I think, $90 a month.

I think the first year I was paying $80 a month.

Then the next year it was $90.

a month and i was like okay i mean like that's kind of a huge jump but okay now they've upped it to a hundred and ninety five dollars a month they just increased it by a hundred dollars a month like that's crazy i don't know i should like call them and argue the problem is i can't go to another pet insurance company because my dog now has pre-existing conditions so even if they are willing to take her she's already going to have a huge premium at any other place so what if this ends up being like $500 a month in a couple of years, right? That would be insane.

And like, I know lots of people don't have dog insurance and or pet insurance and, you know, they just sort of live with it.

Um, if you, if you can afford it, something we've talked about a bit today, think seriously about insurance for your dog, because you do want everything for your dog, but it is expensive.

So if you can afford a good pet insurance company, give that a thought and, uh, don't leave it too late.

Because if they get too old, they won't, can't be insured, and they usually need more stuff as they get older.
