Peshitta

Typically, when that happens, there is a footnote that says, from the Aramaic, okay? And I won't get into the long thing because I'm sure you guys have talked about this in past videos, but there is no Aramaic of the New Testament as a primary source.

The Aramaic Peshitta is a translation in Syriac, which is a dialect of, a later dialect of Aramaic that's in the West.

Okay, so Syriac, classical Syriac emerges around Edessa, which is 100 plus miles north of Galilee, where Jesus would have lived.

In the ancient world, the difference between 100 miles, linguistically, is massive.

En Génesis, capítulo doce, verso uno, cuando lo tenga diga amén.

This most likely came from Syriac.

Syriac has a cognate for this, and you can find it in the Peshitta.

And they translate it, you would translate the word in Syriac to bread of necessity, right? So just because we have a Greek word that is relatively unused doesn't mean that we don't have good resources to know how it would be used if it was used.

And I forgive you because you haven't done the research on it, but this is where I'm coming.
