Peshawar Zalmi

That same week, in the PSL 2026 final, the Hyderabad Kingsmen posted 129.

Peshawar Zalmi lost 5 wickets while chasing down this modest total.

Same format, same 20 overs, same white ball, but a completely different game.

Two leagues born next door to each other.

Picture this, the Mumbai Indians scored 243-5 and the commentary team called it a competitive total.

And the Sunrisers Hyderabad actually ended up chasing it down with 8 balls remaining.

In the same week, the PSL final was decided by 5 wickets, where Peshawar Zalmi chased down just 129.

And a few weeks ago, Rawalpindi's took 18.1 overs to chase 138 against Islamabad United.

With me is Jared Kimber.

You can find him absolutely everywhere, and in a Peshawar Zalmi jersey right in front of me.

And Jared, we had a conversation earlier in the piece where we discussed where Pakistan cricket will be in five years, and we discussed how there is a lack of system, a lack of structure, lack of processes.

But one thing that I was thinking about when I woke up this morning, they also don't have a consistent domestic structure.
