It's amazing.

None of them did anything to improve our lives, and they seemed to have very little effect on one of the biggest factors in our lives, the economy.

As Peruvian American writer Daniel Alarcón wrote in The New Yorker, "Perhaps the most surprising aspect of all this baroque dysfunction is how little it seems to have affected the economic life of the nation.

Despite the tragicomic instability and the rotating cast of nobodies temporarily tasked with running the country, when seen in macroeconomic terms, Peru appears to be doing just fine, thank you." Okay.

Let's all take a deep breath in and a deep breath out because the history lesson is over.
