Peruvian Amazonia

I heard early on a rumor that he was related to a fellow named Julio Cesar Arana.

I don't know if people have seen Fitzcarraldo, which is the story of a real person named Carlos Fitzcarraldo who was a rubber baron in the Peruvian Amazon area.

And Julio Cesar Arana is basically the guy who took over from him and created a private slave state in the Amazon, was responsible for the murder of 30,000 indigenous people.

This came to light in 1912 and became an international scandal.

Um, so there is that, but there is also, I believe, a much, you know, an even deeper reason.

He's a jungle expert.

Uh, maybe most importantly, he's the founder of JungleKeepers, a conservation organization in the Peruvian Amazon.

And the story follows him through his life journey.

And he went in search for the lost city of ink and gold in the depths of the Peruvian Amazon.

And one fateful expedition, he never returned.

And that's what I wrote my series on.

Roughly 100 hours, which is five days.

It runs from Rio through Sao Paulo, Campo Grande, Cuiaba, Porto Velho, Rio Branco, then into the Peruvian Amazon, up through the Andes, and into Lima.

Six Brazilian states, two countries.

It links Christ the Redeemer to Machu Picchu.

Everything you hear, everything you read, everything you're told, And, you know, turn it around and look at it from a different perspective.

I spent some time in the Peruvian Amazon and the shamans talk about this perspective thing like zoom out look at things from a different perspective they would tell me like an ant sees something different than a cat different than a tree so try and not assume that everything out there it's all deception so look for that be discerning If you heal your own traumas, the traumas we go through, it's like if a plant's growing straight, the trauma twists it and distorts it.

So undistort yourself so your discernment will get a lot better.

And a biggie is reconnect to the divine that's actually within you.
