Persian carpet

No sir.

You know, no muddy boots on the Persian carpet.

I mean, all the things.

Whatever that is, right? Uh, now the question is then when somebody says, "Hey- We got a $3 million job out at the airport.

So that's an example that tread lightly into those big accounts where you're not gonna be very good at, right? And then, you know, back to that same thing.

Let's just say your guys are, you know, "Yes, sir.

No, ma'am," you know, no mud on the Persian carpet, like, white glove.

You know, are those guys really gonna be deliver... being able to deliver well in, like, you know, budget projects where, you know, you really gotta be low cost? I- I'd argue that it might be real hard.

And you can see in the image there, there are some writing.

There's some kind of iconography, glyphs, whatever.

Contrast is wanted.

Otherwise, this magnificent Persian rug would be black.

[laughs] It would look like that.

You know the thing about a Persian rug is that there are so many different pieces of thread in it, and no matter what other fabric or wall color you bring to it, that is in there, and it will reflect it back.

That's contrast.

So now take that exact same creature, shrink its territory down to a 1950s suburban bungalow with Persian rugs and delicate houseplants and hand the leash to a deeply anxious, hyper-organized newlywed couple who are just trying to figure out how to be adults.

Which is a complete recipe for absolute, unmitigated destruction.

It really is.

Exactly.

Those traits, endless energy and an imperviousness to pain, are life-saving in the icy North Atlantic.

In a small house with a Persian rug and delicate drywall, those same traits transform the dog into a literal wrecking ball.

A weaponized otter tail.

I barely glanced up from the contract scattered across my desk until he stopped dead at the sight of my discarded riding boots, still mud-flecked from the morning ride, slumped carelessly against the leather chair.

Without a word, without even meeting my eyes, he dropped to his knees on the thick Persian rugs and drew a soft cloth from his inner pocket.

So I, I kind of crashed into the wall and slid my way along the wall to the washroom, where it all passed.
