Perry County

There's some construction work now, but they don't get paid in the country as much as they do in the city.

It's in Perry County, Pennsylvania.

The Amish are beginning to move in there.

There's a little town called Watts, which is on sort of a peninsula between the Juniata River and the Susquehanna River.

And I know that people often know that I'm from Pennsylvania, but I grew up in like rural small town Pennsylvania.

And in the county that I lived in, Perry County is just like Trump country.

And and one of the things I did and I went back and traced, it was always Republican.

But you can see how many voters from the county Trump added, how many more people voted for Trump, how much he ran the numbers up in a place like Perry County.

And that's where I'm from.

Uh, and I do think that part of my ability to sort of relate to a lot of Trump voters comes with the fact that they remind me of the people that I grew up around who did not seem to me to be lustful for authoritarianism.
