Pepin Garcia

He had some really, really good ones and some that weren't so good.

The green label that Don Pepin made in his early days producing cigars was amazing.

Whoever made that black label was really good.

I like the blue label.

And we try to rate what's in circulation.

But this year, the 9.55 has been the La Roma de Cuba made by Don Pepin.

And it's the original.

Which he brought out.

For us, he was right.

In 2003, Pete teamed up with a relatively unknown Cuban cigar maker named Jose Pepin Garcia and launched Tatawahi Cigars.

Not a bad decision.

What started as a boutique cigar brand became one of the most respected names in the industry, producing everything from legendary Brown Label to Havana Cigars.

But I don't think, you know, there's no secrets in this industry, but there's also, we don't tell each other like what we're doing until we actually get it ready to put out.

and even though I'm in the factory and I have a direct connection to the factory, I don't ask about what they're doing.

And I don't ask about what the Garcia's are doing.

And like, I find out what the Garcia's are doing during their sales meeting.

On the room aroma, you get this sweet herbal note to it-

And, and it's not a Don Pepin either

... which is delicious

... which has much more pepper.
