And I'm just reading through like the House of X, Powers of X series that were being done at the time.

And just looking at the awesome artwork by Pepe Larraz at the time in those comics.

And just thinking like, why is no one... doing something with this why is this not like in motion you know there are other marvel had done other you know types of video games uh at the time and they were coming out at the time and obviously there's the history of other companies making other fighting games uh with marvel characters but it was just like why why has someone come back to this either marvel has a reason why they haven't done this no one's made the right pitch yet like what is that what does that look like And, you know, I started like thinking, well, it's one thing to have like a dream, but like you have to build a proper like business case for this to happen, right? So I remember just thinking like, okay, well, who would be a good team to work with on something like this? And I remember just thinking back at the initial announcement for Guilty Gear Xrd, where, you know, who for years, Ark had been making, you know, awesome 2D sprite games with the Persona series and Guilty Gear, obviously.

And, you know, um, blahs blue and whatnot, even on well into the PS3 era where it was still just like 2d sprites, you know? Um, but then you had the announcement of XR where it like from the start looked a bit cleaner than usual, but still looked, you know, 2d and then the camera pants and mind was blown.

I mean, it's cool.

The, the couple times I've gone back and written Jane, you know, like here, and then I did that, me and Pepe Larraz did that story in the, uh, what was it, Marvel Age 1000 or something like that.

It's now coming out on the 30th.

We know the lead story is from the main creative team of Joe Kelly and Pepe Larraz, and it's introducing a new villain called Ravage.

And then after that, we've got just so many creators to fill out the 104 pages, right? Noah Hawley and Patrick Gleason, J.M.

DeMatteis and Roberto Ramos, Frank Miller and Peach Momoko.

I do, yeah.

I think the Pepe Larraz, is it Pepe Larraz did a wraparound? That one was a good one.

I think my favorite was the Marcus Martin Ghost Spider, Spider, Ghost Spider, Spider-Man Noir, Superman Golden Age.

I think that was my favorite.

Not that we're shooting out loud.

Getting into this story, the first one is Our Kryptonite by Brad Meltzer and Pepe Larraz.

Superman and Spider-Man are trapped in a cave-in by Lex Luthor and Green Goblin.

And there is just a list of amazing artists that we have involved here.

Pepe Larraz, John Romita Jr., Humberto Ramos, Pete Famoco, Marcos Martin, Stuart Eminen, Paolo Rivera, who's one of my all-time favorite comic guys.

It's going to be a big celebration for Spidey, and rightfully so.

It's a big issue.

It's funny.

I, I don't know much about him or really Pepe Larraz as people or their wor- their, you know, working, you know, what they're in studios or whatever.

But I think you could very easily convince me that Manna s- studies under Larraz or is in a studio with him because there's a lot of things that they do very similarly.

I mean, even just the rendering of, like, May and some of the faces looked like they were straight from Larraz.

Like I, I don't know if it's just me, Mark, but I feel like his layout game has gotten so much better in the time that we've been covering him.

And an issue like this is a great example of like what we've, you know, championed Pepe Larraz for beyond sort of his stylistic and photorealistic stuff.

Like to me, Ed is kind of absorbing Romita Sr. and Larraz, and he's like the perfect sort of amalgam of Spider-Man.

I still don't love his beefy Peter, but like boy, this is some Romita Sr.-looking stuff with modern sensibilities.

Pepe Larraz is great.

Pepe Larraz is an all-time, like, one of the best guys that's working at Marvel right now.

This is, Matteo Delavante is somebody who will be good.

He's not bad now, but it's just, like, it's perfunctory.
