why would you prophesy the destruction of your own symbols i think it's a recognition of impermanence institutions decay symbols lose their power organizations become corrupt or irrelevant nothing human-made is forever but the key phrase is to await a new dawn this is not permanent destruction it's a cycle the temple falls but something else will rise the pentagram vanishes but it will appear again the work continues even when the form changes this is actually a profound insight about spiritual traditions they don't last forever in the same form they have to die and be reborn the old forms become stale corrupt and irrelevant but the essence the black flame the word the teaching continues it finds new forms new expressions new ways to manifest the new dawn suggests hope the fall of the temple isn't the end of the story it's a transition something new is coming the awakened need to be ready for that to be flexible to be willing to let go of the old forms I also think this is a warning against attachment to the institution.
