My Twin Tiers is out there in Elmira too.

PennySaver, PennySaver, I'm just gonna drop them.

There's nothing on the PennySaver.

The same thing that's on there for two months.

WKGB, another radio station, 92.5.

I'm good, and just to kind of, uh, tacking onto what, uh, you said there a second, my dad was that way.

I think I, in my adult life, I think I remember one time he bought a brand-new Silverado, and r- basically would find deals from either neighbors or in the PennySaver, whatever.

I mean-

Because I met him.

He came over looking at a two-inch tape machine I had for sale in the Penny Saver.

And it wasn't working out with the RF here in Nashville.

And Emmylou, I'd met.

Okay.

So we need, uh, the Penny Saver.

Oh no, I didn't get that one.

I, I need to get this one here.

So, so this, I'm just bringing up the webpages now as far as that goes.

And, um, let's see.

Penny Saver, still not, nothing on the Penny Saver.

Wow.

And then after that, me and my father went to a lot of like garage sales and looking in magazines.

Like one was called the Penny Saver.

Do you remember the Penny Saver? Oh, yeah,

absolutely.

Before

I get up early.

I'm up early anyway, so I went and got the penny saver for the missus.

And I drove through the village there.

Nobody's up.

Everybody's still sleeping on a Sunday morning.

What am I up? I don't have to go to work or anything, but I have this desire to get a penny saver.

Can you just tell that story about Ving? You went with him to, he used to send out ads to find Persian rugs, right? My

dad, he was so smart.

He used to put ads in penny savers across America.

And for younger people who don't know what penny savers are, they're kind of like this throwaway thing.

magazine newspaper thing and it had ads in the back of it and my dad would place ads kind of like wanted ads like if you have a Persian rug or an oriental rug or a middle eastern rug that you want to sell i will send you a self-addressed stamped envelope because they didn't want to pay for the stamp or the envelope i will send you a self-addressed stamped envelope you send me a photograph of your rug i'll potentially make you an offer and he would get hundreds of those a month

Now, how do you do that? Well, in the early years, we were just very, very careful.

Uh, I went out and, and rather than go and buy a new car, I, I found a car, uh, in the Penny Saver over in Leisure World for $500.

Now that's a car.
