Penny Widmore

Back on the freighter, Desmond pulls out his picture, but that's still in the helicopter, actually.

He pulls out his picture of him and Penny, and he and Sayid have a cute little talk about it.

Then he flashes back again to the rain outside when they're supposed to be working out, doing crunches, running and stuff, and the sergeant major yells at him again and is so mean, and he runs toward a phone booth trying to call Penny because he remembers that he still had a picture of Penny in his pocket in that weird place that he was.

And then he like, because he keeps fucking up at boot camp because he's displaced in time, the sergeant keeps giving group punishments and being like, and you can blame him for this.

And so some dude, when he's on his way to the phone booth, knocks him down and is like, thanks for the extra work.

I don't know if you picked up on it, but we learned some other stuff about him that is tells us why he's different at Oxford than he is now.

And we'll talk about that later.

So then he flashes back again to the army and he goes to call Penny and Penny is like, we just broke up, why the fuck are you calling me? Leave me alone, I moved out of the apartment so don't come by, leave me alone and hangs up.
