Penei Sewell

Yeah.

Right? If Penei Sewell goes down, just screwed.

I don't think they have the offensive line y- you know, with him, much less without him.

Although, uh, Blake Miller, rookie first rounder, looked good in that game.

Um, Some talented pass rushers.

We'll have to see what they do because that's going to be there for shorter business because they're looking at that tape from last week from the Lions playing New Orleans with Petzing and they're like, damn, they were throwing the kitchen sink at New Orleans in terms of concepts and moving Panay Sewell around and going heavy right and mix matching.

I like that just because It seems minuscule, but as a defender and a defensive coach, when you go out there and you're like, oh, they got their left tackle stacked over there next to Miller and a tight end.

Is this messing up our alignment? It can throw a wrench into things, so I hope he continues that.

Man, I tell you what, just as an aside, Chase Young played his butt off last week against New Orleans.

Panay everything that he was looking for and more.

I thought Barch, he was pretty good as well.

Panay's always good.

Except on the bizarre

And so, um, He is like their big free agent acquisition, but I don't think he's the player he used to be.

And so he's not as effective as Rousseau.

So I think the Lions are going to be hoping for a lot of Panay versus Rousseau.

But if I'm the Bills, I'm going to try and get Rousseau on the right tackle, whether it's Blake Miller or... or it ends up needing to be Larry Borum.

... and he inserts for the safety.

Um, but they get a double team with Penei Sewell and Chris Mahogany, and Mahogany doesn't come off to the Mike Backer because he over commits, uh, on his angle-

It- it's gonna be a tougher matchup if he's lined up against Penei Sewell, uh, who moved to left tackle quietly and looked great doing it.

But the Lions were really creative on their offense where on Jahmyr Gibbs' touchdown, I missed this on Sunday, they actually switched Sewell's position, moved him back to his normal side on the right, and they just had this monster group on the right side and, and then everyone expected them to run behind him, and then Gibbs kinda cut back the other way, and it was, like, a easy touchdown.

Like, they can do some cool things.

Yeah, if the Lions do the same, right? You know, fluke we saw the other day.

Savaki gets in the way of Penei Sewell, which leads to Chase, uh, Chase Young getting a, a free f- [laughs] a wide open highway to, to Jared Goff.

Yep.

He's takes him down, the ball- he fumbles the ball, whatever.

I really believe that.

Uh, with Penei Sewell moving over, there's a good chance Colt McKivitz in that conversation for best right tackle.

If he continues to do what he did, he's going to be considered one of those guys, and he played top five level.

Dominic Poony played phenomenal guard play.

... yeah, we're gonna move Panay back to the right side with Tate, where he's so comfortable, um, and part the Red Sea for Jahmyr Gibbs.

Um, or, oh, next time you're gonna line up with Blake on this side, and, uh, we're gonna cut back to the left.

Like, I thought the, the creativity with that offensive line was exactly what we wanted to see.
