PEN International

So there are a couple of the international organizations working so hard to highlight my case, So I'm really grateful to this international organization.

That's why I'm now part of the PEN International family.

And so what happened when you were released? It's 1999 now, it's still under a dictatorship in Myanmar.

What happened when you got out? Did you have to leave the country?

You know, one of the poets, he got arrested in the evening and next morning his family was asked to bring his dead body and it's thought to be some of his organs were missed.

Something like that.

That kind of cruelty That kind of absurdity making me so much nervousness, you know, so then I think I just want to keep myself a little bit of the pause away from this kind of the cruelty, but at the same time, there was an election for the chair of the writer in prison comedy of PEN International in May.

For that reason, my PEN International people encouraged me to run that election.
