Peel Sound

We've come too far already.

The fact is, since we came out of Peel Sound, we've been looking at an ice stream as bad as anything north of Baffin Bay, and it's getting worse every day.

This isn't no pancake ice or sludge ice, gentlemen.

It's pack ice we're looking at.

So then in 1846, in the summer, they managed to break free of the ice and they sail south.

And they go through something called Peel Sound towards King William Island.

But then in September, they're stuck again and they're trapped in heavy pack ice.

And then they're just basically there.
