We've seen Jimmy Crooks.

You know, Yvonne Herrera has obviously gotten time at catcher, and then Pedro Paez.

Out of those four, Bernal, Crooks, Herrera, and Paez, who do you have the most confidence in at catcher next year?

I've been on the Leo Bernal, I guess, train for a couple of years now.

Ollie Marmol's actually said that, uh, Leo Bernal's gonna play a lot.

He's a good defender behind the plate, so they're, they're kinda like the Padres in that they have a, a, a catcher who is definitely bat first in Iván Herrera, and one who is definitely glove first in Pedro Páez, and Le- Leo Bernal might straddle those two sides of the fence best.

Uh, I, I think he's a legit prospect, and, uh, you know, this...

Started two in a row, one at DH, so clearly the Cardinals like his bat.

Well, okay, that's two catchers.

What's the plan here? And we haven't mentioned Pedro Paez, who they have previously, at least, really valued for what he brings to the table defensively.

Decided to trade one or two of these guys.

Do you move one of them positionally? The thought has always been Leo Bernal is defensively the best of the bunch.

Burleson, he's up over twenty home runs this season.

The big thing is the bottom of the fold, these guys like Pedro Páez, Ramón Urías, Nolan Gorman, even Joshua Baez, a three home run man from about two weeks ago, they're all hitting below a .215.

And for the Pittsburgh Pirates, this continues to be a top five offense in terms of run creation.

O'Neal Cruz has been off the injured list for a little bit over a week.

It was brutal.

Highlight of the game was Pedro Páez coming in and throwing a, uh, shutout inning in the ninth inning.

Pedro Paez did have a hit.

It was one of the most complete games of Mason Wynn's career.

Now, Daniel Guerrero at STLToday.com, uh, did a piece giving credit to catcher Pedro Páez for helping Mason kind of get back on track.

He was in, I think it was an 0 for 18 skid, and according to Guerrero, it was Pedro Páez who noticed that there was a lot of bat movement going on with Wynn while he was standing in the box.

And he was like, "Okay." And when Mason went back to the video to kind of look at what he was doing and what it looked like when he was hitting really well, he realized Pedro was right.

Mason then watched this, this highlight reel that, that was shown by their hitting coach, Brandt Brown, during a, a hitters meeting on Tuesday, and he was like, "Yes, look, look at this.
