Pedrinho

On October 14th, twenty twenty-six, Shakhtar hosted AEK Athens in their matchday two fixture on West London soil.

In a thrilling performance before a passionate crowd of Ukrainian expatriates and local London spectators, the Miners secured a three to one victory courtesy of goals from Pedrinho, Vinicius Tobias, and Gleison Mendoza.

That single victory banked three crucial points for Shakhtar Donetsk at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League standings.

In contrast, Chelsea remain on zero Champions League points at their own home ground for the season, as they were not part of the thirty-six team Champions League field.

But Shakhtar came back at them and came back at them really well.

They scored their first goal at home, in inverted commas, this season when Pedrinho coolly converted from the spot to level things up just minutes later.

And Oliveira foul/handball, little bit unlucky.

I think he's, he's a little bit unfortunate.

He goes down, he misses the man, then collects the ball with his arm.

I think it's fine that it's given.

It's a great penalty from Pedrinho, who's very, very calm and collected.

Um, and then in the second half, Shakhtar really take control.

Shakhtar 3, AEK Athens nil.

Um, AEK Athens went one up through Lavro Meyer, but then a Pedrinho penalty, a Vinicius Tobias goal on 80, and Mendoza the Venezuelan wrapping it up on 86.

Good win for Shakhtar.

They'll be very happy, but them playing in London remains a nonsense.
