Justin McElroyHOST
9:49
You know, whatever the next big game is.
Justin McElroyHOST
9:52
Dan, tell me about these naughty list pebbles, because I saw these at the store and I didn't know if I was just headed towards Cocoa Pebbles or what the deal was.
Dan GoubertHOST
10:04
so yeah uh post has introduced for the holiday season two new varieties of pebbles in both naughty list and nice list varieties so i didn't even bother to buy the nice list fruity pebbles because based on the press release that i saw they literally are just fruity pebbles colored red and green but the description for the Nautilus Cocoa Pebbles did describe them as dark chocolate flavored rice cereal.
Dan GoubertHOST
10:35
And they do look on the box a lot darker.
Dan GoubertHOST
10:38
So I'm wondering whether this is another Wednesday cereal sort of experience.
Justin McElroyHOST
10:49
yesterday.
Justin McElroyHOST
10:50
While you give these a sample, I wanna point out something about this press release here.
Justin McElroyHOST
10:56
The Naughty List Cocoa Pebbles with Marshmallows has, in the press release photo, you see the box and next to that is a glass of milk, very cold and appealing.
BeccaHOST
29:54
Got it.
BeccaHOST
29:55
Fruity Pebbles, Halloween.
BeccaHOST
29:57
I never liked Fruity Pebbles.
BeccaHOST
29:58
These things.
BeccaHOST
29:59
Should we eat these? Yeah.
Eric BergHOST
7:41
But I want to show you one last thing, okay? It's with this cereal right here.
Eric BergHOST
7:45
It used to be one of my favorites, right? Fruity Pebbles.
Eric BergHOST
7:49
okay and i want to show you how much sugar that's in here first starting with the actual sugar itself okay the sugar that's labeled there one cup of fruity pebbles okay that's about 4.5 but if we add the starches that turn into sugar because they're really sugars in reality because they create a much more damaging effect we have to add four more teaspoons okay actually five more teaspoons So that gives us a total of nine teaspoons per cup.
Eric BergHOST
8:20
All right, so you can see that this is a lot of sugar for one cup, right? Who consumed just one cup? An average child or adult is going to consume probably four cups per breakfast, right? So now we're talking about 36 teaspoons.
Eric BergHOST
8:35
So let's go ahead and add that.
Eric BergHOST
0:50
But what happens over time is not good.
Eric BergHOST
0:52
Let's just... first take this fruity pebbles cereal right here now one cup of this will give you about 160 calories about 18 grams of sugar which comes out to about four and a half teaspoons of actual sugar now typically we look at sugar like table sugar which is not really in there but let's just say it was that would roughly kind of calculate on the glycemic index to be about 75 which is high but but it's not 100.
Eric BergHOST
1:19
So you're talking about every cup, you're getting four and a half teaspoons of sugar, okay? That's a lot.
Eric BergHOST
1:25
But there's some hidden carbs, and that has to do with the total carbohydrates.
Alex HormoziHOST
1:34
What's cool about this is it actually smells like Yoplait or Dannon or any of your favorite, uh, you know, yogurt, yogurt brands that we know and loved when we grew up, and then later found out they were made by big pharma to kill us and all that stuff.
Alex HormoziHOST
1:50
Anyways, I like Fruity Pebbles.
Alex HormoziHOST
1:53
So this is my preferred, uh, cereal of choice.
Alex HormoziHOST
1:57
Let's take this guy out.

Cody JosephHOST
25:20
Okay.
Cody JosephHOST
25:21

Jeff HarmatzHOST

Fruity Pebbles is better, so yes.
Cody JosephHOST
25:24
[laughs]
Jeff HarmatzHOST

Cody JosephHOST

ScottyHOST
19:24
No. I'm getting the same fruity t- uh, first of all, it's impossible 'cause they're different brands, but I'm getting the same fruity taste as I do in Fruity Pebbles.
ScottyHOST
19:32
That's that same fruity taste.
AndrewHOST
19:34
I do not like this.
GandhiGUEST

JamieHOST
23:36
Fruity Pebbles coated in a waxy corn syrup and honey-
AlyssaHOST
23:40
Oh, gross
JamieHOST
23:40
... fondant flavoring.
Spencer SmithHOST
12:17
you're preaching the choir.
Spencer SmithHOST
12:18
I mean, I grew up on Fruity Pebbles and Dr. Peppers, you know, and I look back and say, soccer was my saving grace, being a competitive soccer player and being so active.
Spencer SmithHOST
12:27
Otherwise, I probably would have continued to progress down that path because that's what I learned growing up in my household.
Spencer SmithHOST
12:34
And it was unfortunate, but I was able to just, through my own education, educate myself away from those behaviors, which I'm lucky in that regard.
