I don't know if that's the album it's on, because I'm not the guy who can tell you what song is on what album.

I can't remember if that was the name of the album or not, but whatever album Peace Sells But Who's Buying.

If that was your intention, that is exactly what has happened.

I first saw the cover, I immediately thought of Peace Sells, and then I thought of a whole bunch of other covers, and then now this book sits in my house on my coffee table in full view.

One, because I'm working through it, as I've said, and I'm actually using it But also because the hope is, and I'm sure it will happen, that someone will come to the moment and ask, what is this? And then that's the process then.

But, um, you know, it, it's, you know, I think if you're lucky enough to just get that foothold, and I guess for us the Peace Sells album was that foothold, that first album, and I'm lucky that I have, you know, that bass line, that track, that sort of, you know, just by, just dumb luck, someone at MTV liked that little bass line and used it repeatedly, you know, for the MTV News.

And I mean, uh, sometimes it's that little fairy dust that falls out of the sky on you, and I'm lucky that, that, I, that it fell on me, you know? And that's just all that it is, and-

They had just put out that Power Metal album.

Philip Anselmo was new in the band, and I, I went down there and I, um, to, to, to Dallas, and, um, we ended up drinking and hanging out at the bar and, and, and, and Darrell put his arm on me as we finished up, 'cause they were gonna, they invited me to the, to the show the next night.

I got up and I jammed Peace Sells with them and stuff.

But they-

Uh, Peace Sells, uh, is number 15.

Oh, man, that's crazy actually.

Yeah.

That's, that and, uh, Rust in Peace are the two that are always put the highest, although Rust in Peace is in a league of its own.

Um, and I did wanna go listen to some more stuff, but I didn't get a chance because I moved onto one other album, and I kinda stayed there, uh, for a bit.

Uh, Megadeth's Peace Sells!, and I told you.

I'm like, I'm right on board with the Peace Sells! recently.

Right up until today, I listened to it a couple of times.

They're the tracks that I think are so strong now that they're the ones that were holding me back initially.

Hmm.

Like, you know, I like Peace Sells, that's pretty easy to listen to.

You see an Anthrax shirt, you see a fucking Kiss.

You see it in all the shirts, right? And so I'm like, "Well, what, what is Megadeth?" "Dude, you're gonna love Megadeth." And so Paul's cousin and I shared a locker, as goofy t- preteens do for no good reason, and he had Peace Sells But Who's Buying, and he let me borrow that cassette.

And I fucking, I was, [blows raspberry] I was like, "Fuck this Metallica band.

I'm all about this Megadeth guy." But I would just, I would get the, I would read these liner notes and any-- They would always give shout-outs to the other bands, and I would find the other bands, and I would try to get, like, get their stuff and, you know.
