So if you're the first team that's working on things, a manager is always gonna say in that perspec- in, in that situation, "Well, you're gonna have to get me this 15-year-old or this 16-year-old to work with, because we're working on patterns of play and w- w- we, we need players to, to make it happen." That is not the same as one or two members of coaching staff a few years back going to Paulo Sousa and telling him this, "Raheem Sterling needs to, needs to be training with the, with the first team." It's, it's, um, it's not the same.

Um, and I also think as well there's a danger of, um, believing that playing...

I mean, playing youngsters is a good thing to a point.

There was probably five or six Spanish players.

I think the previous manager had been Paulo Sousa, so there was kind of an overlap there.

Brendan spoke fluent Spanish.

So some of the top players that he had in the group, he was able to obviously communicate with them in their own language as well.

Some low ones already gone.
