Pauline Scanlon

So this is my Irish artist for Palestine T-shirt, which is the proudest thing I've ever been part of.

It was started on October 8th, 2023 by a group of amazing people, including Pauline Scanlon, Eamonn Murray, Clare Loughran, Brendi Loughran, Stephen Loughran.

and a bunch of other people.

And they got together like so many people did and were like, how can I in my lane do something to help people in Palestine survive the genocide that they're undergoing at the hands of Israel and the United States and Britain and Germany.

Muhammad plays the oud on it.

Fergal Scahill plays loads of instruments.

Ruth Smith sings, Pauline Scanlon sings, Ronan Lally recorded it, and it would be such a wonderful thing to have that played on this.

We'll get that

So I was just thinking maybe that would be a thing to do.

Do you ever just take a break? 'Cause you've just done, um, your degree, and you like, I mean, you've, and you're constantly making music, whether it's yourself under Pauline Scanlon or you're with other people.

Do you always have to have a project?

Yeah.

Norianna Kennedy has been touring with the Kevin Burke of Boppy Band.

All three of them came together to perform with Pauline Scanlon as part of Bird on the Wire, which was a celebration of the songs of Leonard Cohen.

So they've been working hard, doing their own sort of exploration of their art and their music.

But kind of what brought or what helped them kind of come back together and focus on creating new music was when the producer Brian Brinkenhoff reached out to them, which kind of took them all by surprise.
