Paula Sussex

The organization is now called The Public Service Ombudsman.

When I spoke to the current holder of the post, Paula Sussex, I began by asking her to explain what an ombudsman was.

So an ombudsman is a completely free service who takes a complaint, usually from a citizen, in our case, the public service ombudsman, against an organization like a health trust or a UK government department, investigates it, and comes out with a finding where you either uphold, partly uphold, or don't uphold the complaint.

So what sort of things are you investigating? Can you give us an example of a, a typical sort of complaint?

Care Quality Commission is looking at implementing it.

Following through on our, particularly our major recommendations, is gonna be a particular focus of mine.

The Public Service Ombudsman, Paula Sussex.

Now, earlier this year, we reported on the launch of an inquiry by a cross-party group of MPs and peers into endometriosis in the workplace.
