Well, I think part of what Paul's working on is it is very interest-based.

It's what are you passionate about? And getting people there at Wheaton Labs that really want chickens and really want to build those fences.

Like he's got some folks now that are loving building the fence.

I think what Paul talked about at the lab is around the cabins.

We have, beautiful cabins that are each on their own acre.

It might be substantially limited because the animals aren't eating bugs and things like that as well.

Or when I say, make sure to do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, and they nod their heads, and then they do the opposite.

Well, I got started on it, and then while I'm about two minutes into it, I think, yeah, Paul's a fucking idiot.

Yeah.

Clearly, you know, he doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about because he's not here.

And, um, and for the other obey or else it was projected upon you and, and it's like, and I didn't sign up for it, and yet I'm being told that I must obey.

And it, and it's like, um, uh, we've had a lot of people who have elected to not come here or, uh, we've had some people who came here, and their family told them, "Don't go there because I found a thing on the internet about how Paul Wheaton is a horrible monster." And, uh, and it's kinda like those, those were obey or else.

And so in each case, those people told me to do something contrary to my values, contrary to our mission, and I, uh, and they said, "Obey." They literally said, "Obey or else." And what you're, what, what these protective family members found is the or else.

That's, that's what they did.

I'm one of them

... and, and they'd never heard of me.

But they stumbled upon this thing saying what a, what a monster Paul Wheaton is.

But the way that they did it, the way that they said it was so poor that it's kinda like these people seem like shit bags.

I, I think my anecdotal collection of like chatting with people, 'cause, you know, I always try to like chat a little bit about permaculture stuff, and one of the things, like you said, Paul, is community.

Maybe it's two percent, right, of like two out of a hundred will express that wish, even if they're not doing it right now, aren't building whatever chops or skills are necessary for living in, you know, non-familial community, um, or even familial community, for that matter.

Um, but yeah, like roughly speaking, yeah, I'm, I'm happy with your one percent.

Oh, look, Andreas found the, the picture of the book.

Uh, and, uh, there's-- So somebody posted to the thread, and I said, "Oh, Andreas, I wanna read this at the very beginning of, uh, of the smacky." And it's like, uh, this, this person, uh, posted to say, "I bought this book this morning and read the whole thing today." I was like, "Wow." [both laughing] That's-- I, I think that's a pretty good sign [laughing] if you read it all in one day.

Uh, "I don't know anything about-- or I didn't know anything about Paul Wheaton yesterday, but now I'm a big fan." And of course, I love hearing that.
