Our Super League Raw Player of the Year... for the York Knights, Cody Hunter.

I felt he was apt, don't get me wrong, there was other players, Paul Vaughan had a great season, Paul McShane did, Xavier VAR I felt was really good value.

But I think Cody Hunter, and we did again, a profile on him, really picking out his game.

This is a player for me, and those members who have watched the player profile will agree, This is a player that I think potentially will not look out of place in a Leeds Rhinos, a Warrington Wolves, a Lee Leopards.

Even when the game was completely gone, they carried on and brought that fire and spirit.

Again, Cody Hunter, I think if he'd been playing in the Leeds, in Warrington, in a Wigan, in a whole car, would have been talking, waxing lyrical over him.

I think everyone would have been because he was so... key to York coming back into their games and again just kept bringing them back up I did think it was quite interesting though with York with the symmetry in the first game they won by a drop goal with a one in the 78th minute and then the very last game on a Thursday night Paul Vaughan kicked a drop goal in the 78th minute as well if you could have put odds on that you'd have probably bankrupted a bookish on that happening but it was just a breath of fresh air to really come on and just show this determination and like i say it's a fantastic place to go as you are because the stadium is brilliant um yeah it's just we just want more obviously 5 000 i think it was quite reasonable so there's some teams that were quite happy to get 5 000. it's

a great start for 10 it's a proper rugby league facility as well it really lends itself and the groundsman whoever that person is give him a medal i mean that is like a carpet it's absolutely stunning is the york pitch if you can't play rugby league on that you can't play rugby league but i think the interesting thing as well for york craig was you know there was a lot made this year in terms of injuries york had their fair share and just rode it you know matter after was out for periods ben john bishop missed the majority of the season john bennison of course was out early doors they had to wait for john bennison to come in i think sam wood was out for a few weeks in gano picked up a knock You know, Josh Griffin retired.
