Chris Richards probably gonna wear the armband because for some reason Pochettino just doesn't ever give it to Tyler Adams.

So there are still, like, holdovers or guys that will remain core, but who's kidding who? This is about Cavan Sullivan, Ahmad Medi, Julian Hall, Neil Pierre, Xavier Gozo, Mati Salbert, all, all these kind of young guys that are in the camp, and that is going to be the dominant topic of conversation I'm sure for you and Dunney on the show, and for, for what me, Paul Tenorio, Henry Bushnell, writing at The Athletic, and everybody covering this because that is what we're all showing up for.

And one thing that I found interesting, Tyler Adams and Ahmad Medi, uh, spoke in, in a press conference today, and Tyler reflected a little bit when his debut.

He made his n- uh, senior national team debut in November of 2017, a month after the infamous game in Cuba where the United States failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

His answer was taken in two directions by all of us on the call.

A lot of people, including Doug McIntyre and Paul Tenorio, started by saying, well, Pochettino says, don't get too big for your britches.

And don't talk too much.

Which I think he's a little bit Not entirely honest about.

But anyway, so what happened in the fallout that we learned this morning?

Yeah, so Mauricio Pochettino was on a call with a small group of reporters, and this is from Paul Tenorio's piece on it.

While the U.S. coach did not mention Kevin Sullivan's name, Pochettino's response felt pointed toward a recent interview that Kevin gave that we just referenced.

Poch said, We are very happy to have all these potential good players being young and with the possibility to perform and to play.

This reporting came out from Pablo Mora, again, of The Guardian.

uh paul tenorio of the athletic uh then kind of wrote an article right on the back of it uh substantiating these claims and also offering a little bit more information if you are interested in this like those are the two that's the required reading is the guard the piece in the guardian and the piece in the athletic uh that's where i think you can source all this information and on top of that uh good graphics and like info charts flow charts on reddit and on blue sky and on twitter have been my sources of truth for putting all this information together but On these changes, MLS actually did issue a statement because this is not official and MLS hasn't actually announced it yet.

I feel like we should say that and also say what MLS said about it.

Their statement was, quote, Major League Soccer is continuing to evaluate potential adjustments to its postseason format as part of a broader review of the league shift to a new competition calendar beginning with the 27-28 season.

The new format requires a lot of explaining.
