And then we have a boy and a girl and, I mean, there's three boys in this one versus one girl, but we still have a girl storyline, and we have a bunch of boy storylines going on.

So I went down a rabbit hole, and then I tried watching, like, the pilot episode of the, the show, which was, like, a completely different, like, this weird cyberpunk TV show that had Max Headroom as, like, a character.

So he then did a lot of scouting for Birmingham at the junior levels because he'd seen a lot of us growing up and he had in a lot of the kids that joined him.
P
21:46Paul MasefieldGUEST
Tatey Paul Tate Ian Clarkson Andy Harris that was the kind of group all who became first teamers yeah and in the team we had Mark Yates Simon Sturridge we had Studger you know there was Ronnie Morris we had a fair team to be quite honest it wasn't a bad team it wasn't a bad team at all for that level and that so to be accepted into that you know just initially getting the contract offer was one thing but they were signing me as a centre back or a centre forward and it never transpired that way did you not first game of pre-season it's no word of a lie Highgate United were playing there and it's sort of the youth slash second team they're playing five ten minutes into the game the right back breaks his leg and Fred Davis was the coach and he's looked down the bench and he's gone who wants to go and play right back All I wanted to do was play.
P
22:36Paul MasefieldGUEST
So I was like, I'll go, I'll go.

... because-

I w- I wonder with Tate, is it, is this the lingering effects of a long-term ham- hamstring injury he had and that's affecting his pace?
N
16:33Nick WasilievHOST
Mm.
N
16:33Nathan WilliamsonHOST
'Cause he just didn't seem to be as quick, and then you f- around the ruck it just kind of the same delivery that Lonigan was getting, then that kind of forces him back into being a more traditional nine, which has never suited his skill sets.
N
20:38Nick WasilievHOST
I agree.
N
20:38Nick WasilievHOST
Um, I'm expecting the Pumas will make a couple of changes themselves.
N
20:42Nick WasilievHOST
Um, I think, uh, I mean, I don't know, I know that they, their injuries were quite, were not very good from chatting with, with Paul Tate, particularly in the backs.
N
20:50Nick WasilievHOST
Um, but I'm expecting that, you know, Contipomi will throw everything in the kitchen sink at this.

LAUGHTER as you can tell from looking at me so they're the rituals you know some of the other rituals were the girls uh in starting in spring uh used to sit under the shade of the collar around the edge but their legs were put out to get a suntan now maria uh over here my dear friend maria who probably started a year or two after me at kirraway high school marie did you sit with your legs with your friends sitting all together with your legs in the sun like that You did.
S
7:03StuartHOST
There you go.
S
7:04StuartHOST
Now, I hear that in the 70s, people used to put coconut oil on their legs to get a better tan.

LAUGHTER And it was terrible, and it's good that it doesn't happen anymore, but they would get the kid, and they'd seat the kid in the bin.
S
9:05StuartHOST
So the kid would be suspended above the playground with their arms out like this and their little feet swinging out the bin, with their bottom in the bin, and presumably they'd stay there until people got them out.
S
9:16StuartHOST
The problem is, for the poor Year 7s, they couldn't reach their friends, so you'd have these... sad kind of pathetic sort of scenes of all these little kids trying to save their friend out of the bin but then also some of the kids didn't care because that meant they got a further square up in handball and they didn't care about the kid and teachers would often eat their lunch watching a binning just dispassionately eating didn't care it was different time now that was a bit troubling but the other one that i want to mention today is even worse it was called 310 on the oval Now, you may have heard of various versions of this.
