Paul Sather

When I say men's basketball, the women are here as well.

At the Denny Sanford Premier Center, one of the men's coaches is Paul Sather from the University of North Dakota.

Of course, no stranger to South Dakota from so many years.

Black Hills State and Northern State.

They weren't worrying about the wrong things.

So as someone that leads the program, I can't be worrying about the wrong things either.

He is Paul Sather.

We're chatting with the head coach of the University of North Dakota men's basketball team.

So that was, uh, this week in, uh, in, um, uh, Sioux Falls.

And, and, uh, for Paul Sather, my good, uh, good buddy there, Paul, who's a tremendous coach, uh, for North Dakota men, you know, their, their rotation and loss of people, uh, the fact that they have continued to compete [laughs] a- at, at a great level, uh, just speaks volumes of that.

And for the North Dakota women, you know, again, they've got eight or nine new, uh, players coming in, not the very least being Abbie Dukes here that, that has transferred after her career was done at Alabama for softball, and a lot of, uh, young kids coming in and some transfers, uh, flowing in.

I, uh, I don't love the fact that the team that I brought up [laughs] for Derek was picked last, but you know what? What a great thing for incentive [laughs] for, for a, a, a batch of, of, you know, feisty l- women that are, that are trying to prove people wrong.

And so you've got to find these off days that make sense in your schedule.

And then talking to Paul Sather, head coach of North Dakota, he's the guy that recruited me to Northern State, one of my closest friends and friends.

He's at North Dakota now, but we worked my first college assistant job was at Black Hill State.

I was his assistant.
