I don't know about being the fan of a team that you're calling, but I never liked having anything at stake in the outcome of a game to where you're like Paul Pierce for three missed it.

We were going way back in time, talking about the Paul Pierce trade to get the picks for those players.

We covered it all, though.

Uh, so I got David Ortiz, and I, I did all current athletes for the most part.

Um, uh, maybe not current, but athletes I saw growing up.

Uh, so Mookie Betts, David Ortiz, Paul Pierce, and then Patrice Bergeron.

So Betts, Ortiz, Bergeron, Pierce.

insanely strong as you said and i do think the trade-off with him and the big question with him is how much the lack of uh agility or speed hurt relative to some of these other defenders we're going to talk about or relative to a smaller lighter defender he was built like a tank and he never really had the quickest feet very very strong as you said very strong hands but i uh, got a little bit because of the lack of agility that we're talking about, I think could get a little bit lungy, if you will, like going after the ball and that leads to blow bys and exposure and things like that.

Um, and even, you know, maybe biting on up fakes in that sense on the flip side, This is someone who when you put him against mid-sized wings, and I think of like the Paul Pierces of the era, I'm just not sure you could get someone built more perfectly for those types of players that you had to guard who wanted to set up in the pinch post and the elbow and the mid post and things like that.

So...

With all that said, if you were a smaller guard and he switched on to you, I think most of the time you weren't super excited.

Oh, he's guarding Carmelo Anthony.

Oh, he's guarding Kobe Bryant.

Oh, he's guarding Paul.

Oh, he's guarding Dirk Nowitzki.

Jalen Suggs needs to be like a Rajon Rondo kinda player for this team, right? If you're gonna be a bad, if you're gonna be a bad 3-point shooter, be a relatively ve- you have to be...

Rajon Rondo, what made him so great with the Celtics as a facilitator for three other big-time All-Stars in KG, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen was that he was a great passer, great feel for the game as a facilitator, big-time defender.

But the other thing that made him such a threat on offense where you couldn't just play off of him, and guys like, guys like Kyrie, guys like, um, guys like Derrick Rose have spoken on this.

He's a really good rebounder at the guard position, offensive and defensive rebounder.

One is a guard in Desmond Bane, one is a wing in Franz Wagner, and one is a power forward that operates a little bit on the perimeter and mid-range area in Paolo Banchero.

Very similar to Ray Allen, Franz Wagner, and, uh, let me see.

Excuse me, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and, and KG, very similar archetypal breakdown as far as the players when you look at Desmond Bane, Franz Wagner, and Paolo Banchero.

I'm not saying those guys play exactly the same, but I'm saying if you go bar for bar as far as team construction, and then what? The center is Kendrick Perkins.
